Umuahia — The Umuahia South APC House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Chibuike Peter Onyeulo, has called on Nigerians to unite in faith and prayers following recent kidnapping incidents across the country, particularly the heartbreaking abduction of students in Oyo State.
In a statement shared via his verified WhatsApp platform, the former lawmaker described the incident as deserving sober reflection.
“Our children are the hope of tomorrow, and whenever they are placed in harm’s way, the entire nation feels the pain,” Onyeulo said. “At this difficult moment, we stand with the affected families and pray fervently for the safe and speedy return of every child and citizen in captivity.”
He noted that difficult moments should strengthen the bonds that unite Nigerians rather than weaken them, stressing that the nation has repeatedly demonstrated resilience in the face of challenge.
Hon. Chibuike Peter Onyeulo further urged citizens to remain calm and hopeful, expressing confidence that the government and security agencies are committed to securing the release of the victims and strengthening measures to safeguard lives and property.
He joined millions of Nigerians in showing solidarity with the federal government and the affected families, praying for the safety of all citizens.
