The Secretary to the Abia State Government, Professor Kenneth Kalu, has charged the newly elected executives of the Nigerian Legion, Abia State Council, to focus on uniting members and prioritizing their welfare.
The new executives of the Nigerian Legion, Abia State Council are: Lt. Col. Stanley Odionyefe (Rtd)– Chairman, Chief Sir.Samuel Okereke– Vice Chairman and Mr. Emeka Aguocha – Treasurer
Prof. Kalu gave this charge when the new executive members visited his office in Umuahia. He congratulated them on their election and assured them of the full support of the state government under Governor Alex Otti.
The new leadership, led by Chairman Lt. Col. Stanley Odionyefe (Rtd), was elected following the dissolution of the previous executive. Officials from the Federal Ministry of Defence oversaw the peaceful election.
In his response, the newly elected Chairman, Lt. Col. Odionyefe, pledged to collaborate with all stakeholders to enhance the Legion’s relevance and unity across Abia State.
