Results announced at the Ajagbala Hall polling unit, Okeruku Ward 02, showed ADC polling 39 votes to edge out APC, which scored 29 votes. PDP trailed in third place with 17 votes.
The outcome offers an early morale boost for ADC and its governorship candidate, Dare Bejide, who had earlier raised alarm over alleged violence targeting his supporters in parts of the state as voting got underway.
The result comes amid a flurry of unit-level declarations across Ekiti’s 2,445 polling units, with APC—led by incumbent Governor Biodun Oyebanji, who is seeking a second term—posting strong numbers in several wards, including his home polling unit in Ikogosi.
Collation continues across the state’s 16 local government areas as INEC officials and party agents monitor the process. CDA News Nigeria will continue to track results as they emerge.
