APC Releases Full Senatorial Candidates List for 2027 — Atuma, Kalu, Erondu, Yari, Shekarau Make Cut

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially released the names of its senatorial candidates who emerged from completed primaries across 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In the South-East, former Senate President Orji Uzor Kalu secured the Abia North ticket, while Emeka Atuma (Abia Central) and also Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jr (Abia South) made the list. Imo State produced Governor Hope Uzodimma (Imo West), Alex Mbata (Imo East), and Patrick Ndubueze (Imo North).

In the South-South, Senate President Godswill Akpabio will contest Akwa Ibom North-West, while former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa emerged for Delta North. Senator Adams Oshiomhole clinched Edo North.

In the North-West, Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau (Kano North), former Governor Ibrahim Shekarau (Kano Central), and Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara West) are among the flagbearers.

Former Governor Yahaya Bello (Kogi Central), Governor Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa North), and Governor Simon Lalong (Plateau South) headline the North-Central zone.

For the Federal Capital Territory, the party picked former Senate Minority Leader Philip Aduda as its senatorial candidate.

The APC noted that primaries in some districts remain inconclusive, and the list will be updated as outstanding processes are completed.
