Senator Tambuwal Questions US Airstrike Success, Urges Vigilance Against Hidden Agendas

Sokoto South Senator Aminu Tambuwal has reacted cautiously to the recent United States airstrikes on terrorist targets in Sokoto State, questioning the historical success of such foreign military interventions.

In an interview on Arise Television on Friday, Tambuwal stated, “If we go by the history of such operations as carried out by the US in some parts of the world… it has not been able to effectively achieve much in some of the areas that they carried out such collaborative efforts.”

While acknowledging that help “may come from unexpected quotas,” the former Sokoto governor emphasized the need for vigilance to ensure no hidden agenda is pursued under the guise of fighting terrorism.

He also clarified that the conflict is not a religious or ethnic war but about securing Nigeria.

Earlier, Tambuwal had urged calm among Sokoto residents and assured constituents that he was engaging with security agencies to obtain details and ensure civilian safeguards.
