The PDP Abia State Youth Leader, Comrade Ugwumba Adiele, has regained his freedom following his detention at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Abuja.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that Adiele was arrested on Friday, September 11, 2026, at about 6:30 pm by FCID officers acting on a petition allegedly written and sponsored by the member representing Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency, Hon. Chris Nkwonta, over an alleged case of cyberstalking and cyberbullying.
According to Adiele, he was granted bail on Monday, September 14, 2026, after what he described as a thorough investigation and interrogation by detectives at the Force CID.
In a statement expressing gratitude, Adiele thanked his wife, Mrs Ugwumba Ngozi Blessing, his family, and his pastor, Ikechukwu Paul, for their support during the period, alongside friends, political allies, the media, and members of NUPI and Friends Club International.
He also specially appreciated political leaders and stakeholders, including Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe representing Abia South, former Ukwa Federal Constituency lawmaker Hon. Uzoma Nkem Abonta, Chief Sam Okezie Nwogu, HRM Erelu Dr Pearl Chidinma Ogbulu, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, and numerous other Abia leaders, comrades and activists who stood by him throughout the ordeal.
Adiele expressed appreciation to the Abia State chapter of the PDP and all who supported him publicly and privately, describing their solidarity as invaluable.
