A Lagos State High Court has struck out a N2 billion defamation lawsuit filed by Apostle Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire Ministries against activist Omoyele Sowore and singer Stephanie Otobo.
The case, originally instituted in 2017, was dismissed on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, bringing an end to the nearly nine-year legal battle.
Suleman had accused Sowore and Otobo of publishing defamatory statements against him, seeking substantial damages for alleged injury to his reputation.
Details of the court’s ruling are yet to be fully disclosed, but the dismissal represents a significant legal outcome for both defendants.
Sowore and Otobo have yet to issue official statements following the court’s decision.
