Onyejeocha Drags Amobi Ogah Back to Court in Renewed Legal Dispute

The legal dispute over the Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency seat has resurfaced, as former House of Representatives member Hon. Nkeiruka Chidubem Onyejeocha has dragged incumbent lawmaker Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah back to court.

According to the cause list of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Gwarinpa Judicial Division, the matter (Suit No: CV/510/2023) is scheduled for hearing before Justice M. A. Hassan on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

Ogah, who won the 2023 election and has since been affirmed by the courts, remains focused on legislative duties despite the renewed legal challenge.

Constituency stakeholders have expressed frustration over the prolonged litigation, urging all parties to respect the electorate’s mandate and allow development to take precedence.

No official statements have been issued by either camp regarding the latest hearing, but the case continues to draw attention as a test of post-election judicial finality in Nigeria’s political landscape.
