Governor Sani Briefs President Tinubu on Rescue of Abducted Worshippers

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has met with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa to brief him on the safe return of 183 worshippers abducted from Kajuru Local Government Area.

The meeting, held on Friday, focused on security, infrastructure, and developmental initiatives for the state. Governor Sani detailed the intelligence-driven operations that led to the successful rescue, highlighting the effective collaboration between state and federal security agencies.

He expressed gratitude for the President’s “ceaseless personal calls” during the two-week ordeal, which provided reassurance to the affected families and community.

The leaders also reviewed critical projects, including the commencement of the transformative Birnin Gwari road project and the urgent need to rehabilitate other major road networks such as the Kaduna Eastern Bypass and the Jere–Kwoi–Kafanchan road to improve security and economic connectivity.

Governor Sani commended the dedication of security personnel and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustained collaboration with the federal government to ensure lasting stability and development in Kaduna State.
