AGBOR – Former Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Barrister Felix Morka, have called on party chieftains and members in the state to unite behind President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as the 2027 general elections draw closer.
The appeal was made on Monday during a stakeholders’ meeting of Ika Federal Constituency leaders held in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area.
The gathering, convened by Morka, aimed to sensitize members on the ongoing APC e-registration exercise, with a January 31, 2026, deadline set for participation in upcoming congresses.
Morka emphasized that registration is mandatory for eligibility to vote or be voted for in party activities. He urged leaders to mobilize grassroots support and avoid internal divisions.
“This is not a time for petty divisions, unnecessary suspicion, or internal anxiety. The President expects unity. Shoulder-to-shoulder solidarity,” Morka stated.
He praised Tinubu’s bold economic reforms and called for unwavering support from party faithful.
Okowa, addressing the attendees, expressed confidence in APC’s dominance in Delta if members work collectively.
“If we resolve, collectively and immediately, to work together, we can command political dominance across all 26 wards of the Ika Federal Constituency,” Okowa said.
He noted that Delta, being the first state where the governor openly aligned with Tinubu, is being watched nationally, and its political outcomes would resonate across Nigeria.
The meeting was attended by prominent APC figures, including Hon. Doris Uboh, NDDC Chairman Barrister Chiedu Ebie, SSG Dr. Kingsley Emu, and local government chairmen, among others.
