The Federal High Court in Lagos has granted bail in the sum of N30 million to Nollywood actress and African Action Congress (AAC) 2027 Abia State governorship candidate, Doris Ogala, over allegations of cyberstalking and other offences involving Pastor Chris Okafor.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that Justice Akintayo Aluko delivered the ruling on Friday, November 6, 2026. The bail comes with two sureties who must provide the same amount, and Ogala must surrender her international passport to the court registrar.
The court also barred the actress from posting anything online that could put prosecution witnesses in danger of harassment, threats, or intimidation while the case is ongoing.
Justice Aluko expressed concerns over Ogala’s conduct in court on October 28, 2026, when she allegedly caused a commotion that forced the court to adjourn 10 cases.
“By her misconduct and conduct in the open court… the defendant has exposed herself as a person capable of fomenting trouble when she is outside the courtroom,” the judge stated. He noted that the strict conditions were designed to protect both her constitutional right to freedom and the safety of witnesses.
CDA News Nigeria will continue to monitor the proceedings and provide updates as the trial progresses.
