Nasarawa CP Orders Statewide Raids on Criminal Hideouts for Safe Yuletide

The Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa State, Mr. Shetima Jauro-Mohammed, has directed a statewide crackdown on criminal hideouts, ordering relentless raids to ensure a peaceful and secure festive season.

In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel, on Tuesday, the CP disclosed that he met with Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and heads of tactical units to strategize the security operation.

The directive aligns with the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun’s, order to all commands to ensure a hitch-free Yuletide celebration nationwide.

“The Commissioner ordered relentless raids on identified flashpoints and criminal hideouts, intensified confidence-building patrols, and enhanced visibility policing throughout the state,” SP Nansel stated.

CP Jauro-Mohammed charged officers to discharge their duties with utmost professionalism to guarantee residents enjoy a peaceful celebration.

The statement also reiterated the existing ban on the sale and use of knockouts and other explosive devices, warning violators would face the law.

The command assured the public of its unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property before, during, and after the festive period.
