Edo Police Rescue Husband, Two Wives from Kidnappers

The Edo State Police Command has rescued three kidnap victims—a farmer and his two wives—and arrested eight suspected kidnappers following a bush-combing operation in Idoha/Ewu Forest.

The victims, Abraham Udewa, Brinda Abraham, and Anna Abraham, were abducted from Egoro Amende Community in Ekpoma. A joint security team involving police tactical squads, drones, hunters, and vigilantes tracked the kidnappers, forcing them to flee and leaving the victims unharmed.

Items recovered from the kidnappers’ camps include cutlasses, a solar panel, rope, palm oil, five mobile phones, and three makeshift tents.

In a separate operation, police also arrested five suspects for pipeline vandalism in Uhiele Community, Ekpoma, recovering an excavator used in damaging the pipeline.
