IKWUANO, ABIA STATE — A former Deputy Chairman of Ikwuano Local Government Area, Senior Comrade Cokey Lordson Nwachukwu, has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a resignation letter addressed to the PDP Chairman of Ibere Ward 2, Nwachukwu expressed gratitude to the party for the opportunities given to him to serve in various capacities during his time as a member.

He noted that his decision to leave the party was taken after careful consideration, although he did not disclose his next political move or affiliation.

The former deputy chairman appreciated the leadership and members of the PDP for their support throughout his political journey, acknowledging the platform the party provided for his growth and contributions to grassroots politics in Ikwuano.

He also extended his goodwill to the party, wishing it success in its future political engagements.

Nwachukwu’s resignation adds to the growing list of political realignments ahead of future electoral activities in Abia State, as stakeholders continue to reposition within the evolving political landscape.

Political observers say such developments may influence party structures at the ward and local government levels in the coming months.
