TEXAS, USA – Exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi has told the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Texas that a future Iran without the Islamic Republic would pose no nuclear threat, end terrorism, and keep global shipping lanes open.
Speaking at the conservative gathering, Pahlavi presented a vision of Iran as a stabilizing force rather than a source of global disruption.
“No more nuclear threats; no more terrorism; no more hostage taking; no more closing of the Strait of Hormuz; no more blackmailing of the global economy,” he said.
The Crown Prince, son of the late Shah of Iran, called for the complete dismantling of the Islamic Republic, warning that leaving any part of the regime intact would perpetuate instability.
“We must finish the job. This regime, in its entirety, must go. If we do not finish the job and leave a rump of the regime in place, the threat posed by this Islamic Republic will not be solved,” he added.
His remarks come amid heightened tensions between the United States and Iran, with recent military strikes and escalating rhetoric over the Strait of Hormuz. Pahlavi’s address has drawn attention from Western policymakers who have long debated Iran’s future.
Tehran has not responded to his comments.
