The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has intensified the enforcement of regulations against unauthorized tinted vehicle windows, leading to the seizure of more than 30 vehicles across Abuja.
According to the police, the operation is aimed at improving public safety and strengthening security measures within the nation’s capital. Authorities noted that vehicles with illegally tinted windows can be exploited by criminals to conceal identities and carry out unlawful activities.
Motorists were reminded that owners of vehicles with factory-fitted tinted glass must obtain the necessary permits and documentation as required by law. The command also urged residents to cooperate with security agencies by complying with all vehicle regulations.
The enforcement exercise is expected to continue across various parts of the FCT, with police warning that offenders will face appropriate sanctions.
Residents have been encouraged to verify the status of their vehicle permits and ensure full compliance to avoid penalties during the ongoing operation.
