From Prison to Party Meeting: Chris Ngige Storms APC Caucus Hours After Release

ABUJA — In a dramatic political return, former Anambra State Governor and Minister of Labour, Senator Chris Ngige, attended the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Caucus meeting on Thursday evening, just hours after being released from Kuje prison.

Ngige, who was recently remanded over corruption allegations by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), was granted bail earlier in the day and swiftly fulfilled his bail conditions.

Scene at the Villa:
He arrived at the State House Conference Centre after President Bola Tinubu and other leaders had already convened. Security personnel briefly stopped him before he was cleared to enter, where his appearance drew cheers from some presidential aides.

His attendance at the high-level party meeting—which included the president, vice president, Senate president, governors, and top party officials—signals a swift reintegration into the APC’s inner circle despite his recent legal troubles.
