OSOGBO — Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has been officially announced as the governorship candidate of the Accord Party for the 2026 election.
The governor, who recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was cleared earlier this week by the party’s screening committee and subsequently emerged unopposed as the flagbearer during the party’s primary held in Osogbo.
This development sets the stage for Adeleke’s bid for a second term under a new political platform, significantly altering the dynamics of the upcoming gubernatorial race in Osun State.
Further details of the primary and the party’s campaign strategy are expected to be released shortly.
