The Imo State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has declared its total loyalty to the national leadership of Senator David Mark.
In a communique issued on Tuesday following a state executive committee meeting in Owerri, the party confirmed it remains “structurally intact, ideologically focused, and firmly under capable leadership”.
Following recent internal leadership disputes, Imo ADC leaders stated that any insinuation of a split within the state chapter is false and does not represent the reality on the ground.
This declaration follows the Supreme Court’s April 30, 2026, decision, which strengthened the David Mark-led National Working Committee.Imo ADC Publicity Secretary, Chief Macdonald Amadi, reiterated that the chapter is intensifying grassroots mobilization across all 27 Local Government Areas to ensure a strong showing in the 2027 general elections.
The chapter, along with others in the South-East, has distanced itself from unauthorized lawsuits aimed at undermining the National Executive.
