Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (Don Lulu) has officially picked up his All Progressives Congress (APC) Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms for the House of Representatives seat representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency.
The forms were presented to him by the APC National Vice Chairman (North-Central), Hon. Muazu Bawa Rijau, in the presence of the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda.
Speaking after receiving the forms, Igbokwe, who is Chairman of Don Media Group and State Director of the City Boy Movement (Abia), declared: “This is the time for new blood to take over. We cannot continue to recycle leadership that has not delivered meaningful progress. Our people deserve leaders who think about them first.”
He emphasized that his aspiration is anchored on service, accountability, and people-focused governance.
Igbokwe highlighted his private sector background, including the establishment of Don FM 103.7 FM and Ikoro 93.3 FM in Ohuhu, as evidence of his commitment to community development and youth empowerment.
Running under the banner of the Ekwerem Ekwe Campaign Organization, he outlined a vision centred on youth employment, skills acquisition, infrastructure development, and inclusive growth.
He called on constituents across Ikwuano, Umuahia North, and Umuahia South to support his candidacy, assuring them of accessible, responsive, and impactful representation.
