NDLEA Arrests Lagos Businessman Over 3.3kg Cocaine Bound for UK

Lagos, Nigeria — The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a Lagos-based businessman for allegedly attempting to traffic 3.3 kilograms of cocaine destined for the United Kingdom.

CDA News Nigeria independently verified that the suspect was apprehended during an intelligence-led operation by NDLEA operatives. According to the agency, the illicit drug was intercepted before it could be shipped overseas as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle international drug trafficking networks.

CDA News Nigeria reports that the agency said the cocaine, weighing 3.3kg, was concealed for export to the UK before officers uncovered the consignment. The suspect is currently in NDLEA custody and is expected to face prosecution after investigations are concluded.

The anti-narcotics agency reaffirmed its commitment to combating drug trafficking and warned individuals involved in the illegal drug trade that law enforcement operations would continue across the country.

NDLEA urged members of the public to support the fight against illicit drugs by providing credible information that could assist security agencies in identifying and apprehending traffickers.

Investigations into the case are ongoing, while authorities continue efforts to identify other members of the suspected trafficking network.
