The Women’s Association of New Mount Zion Cherubim and Seraphim Church Worldwide has kicked off its first International Women’s Anniversary with a health walk and free medical outreach, emphasizing the vital connection between faith, health, and community service.
The Women’s Association of New Mount Zion Cherubim and Seraphim Church Worldwide has officially launched the maiden edition of its International Women’s Anniversary, beginning the celebration with a health walk and free medical care for women and families. The event marks a historic milestone for the church and underscores its commitment to holistic well-being—spiritually, physically, and socially.
In a statement, the leadership declared that the health walk is “more than exercise. It is fellowship, it is prayer in motion, and it is our declaration that we will steward the bodies God has given us.” The free medical care, they added, is “more than check-ups. It is love in service, it is the church caring for her women, her families, and in extension our community.”
The church leadership emphasised the importance of health, stating: “The saying ‘health is wealth’ reminds us that without good health, every other blessing is hard to enjoy. Today, we are putting that truth into action.”
The anniversary, which is the first of its kind for the church, represents a growing movement to empower women within the church structure. In recent years, the New Mount Zion C&S has witnessed leadership advancements, with the establishment of a Directorate of Women Affairs (DOWA) and appointments of women to advisory boards . The church has described women as “vessels of transformation.”
Addressing the women in attendance, the leadership declared: “To every woman here: your health matters, your life matters, and your wellbeing matters to God and to us. Let this first edition be the beginning of a culture where we pray together, walk together, and grow healthier together.”
The church expressed gratitude to the medical team and all participants, praying that God would bless the steps, health, and the association.
