NNPC Depot Sealed in Kano for Sanitation Violations

The Kano State Refuse Management and Sanitation Board (REMASAB), in collaboration with the Mobile Environmental Sanitation Court, has sealed a Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) depot in Hotoro for breaching environmental sanitation laws.

The enforcement exercise on Thursday also targeted other facilities across the state, including a public convenience along Hotoro Road found to be unhygienic and construction sites in Naibawa Quarters and along IBB Way where materials were illegally dumped on public roads.

REMASAB Managing Director Muhammad Khalil stated that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with sanitation regulations and protect public health. He warned that violations would be met with appropriate sanctions.

Khalil urged residents to comply with environmental laws, emphasizing that cleanliness is a collective responsibility for community safety and well-being.
