Oriire Abduction: Children Were Beaten, Teachers Chained — Principal

The Principal of the school affected by the Oriire abduction, Alamu, has recounted the traumatic experience endured by the victims, revealing that abducted children were beaten while some teachers were chained during their captivity.

CDA News Nigeria gathered that the principal disclosed the details while speaking after the successful rescue of the victims by security operatives. According to Alamu, the ordeal left both pupils and teachers physically and emotionally traumatized.

He explained that the abductors subjected the children to physical assault and restrained some members of staff with chains, creating fear and uncertainty throughout the period of captivity. Despite the harsh conditions, he expressed gratitude that all the victims were eventually rescued alive.

The principal commended the security agencies for their coordinated efforts, courage, and professionalism, describing the rescue operation as a source of relief for the affected families and the wider community. He also thanked the government and Nigerians who supported efforts to secure the victims’ release.
