PDP Sets March 28–29 for National Convention in Abuja

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has scheduled the party’s National Convention for March 28 and 29, 2026, to be held in Abuja.

The decision was reached during the 105th NEC meeting on Monday, where the committee also ratified all resolutions from its emergency meeting in December 2025 and extended the tenure of the National Caretaker Working Committee until the convention.

The NEC welcomed a recent Federal High Court judgment affirming the legitimacy of the caretaker leadership and directing INEC to recognize it.

The party urged members to prioritize unity and collective interest as it begins preparations for a transparent and credible convention to elect new national officers.
