The College of Management Science (COLMAS) at the university awarded Onuigbo the Ambassador Plenipotentiary Award in recognition of his outstanding and sustained efforts, which led to the reinstatement of five key Management Science courses: Accounting, Marketing, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, and Economics.
These programs, delisted by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2016, had disrupted the academic journeys of many students for years.
