Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji, the APC House of Representatives candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia North/South Federal Constituency, has pledged to leverage his legislative experience and political influence to drive socio-economic development across the constituency if elected in the 2027 general election.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that the commitment was contained in a statement by his campaign, which described the former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly as a leader committed to delivering effective representation beyond lawmaking.
According to the statement, Orji plans to prioritise youth empowerment by promoting sustainable employment opportunities, supporting digital skills acquisition, and facilitating access to funding for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The campaign argued that these initiatives would help create jobs and encourage entrepreneurship among young people.
The statement also highlighted education, healthcare, and social inclusion as key pillars of Orji’s agenda. It said he intends to expand scholarship opportunities, strengthen primary healthcare services, and advocate for increased budgetary provisions for persons with disabilities to ensure inclusive development.
