Rufai Oseni: Fubara’s Impeachment Plot Indicts Tinubu’s Ability to Protect APC Govs

Arise Television host Rufai Oseni has stated that the impeachment plot against Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara is an indictment on President Bola Tinubu’s ability to protect governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a Facebook post on Monday, Oseni argued that if Fubara is impeached, it would reflect poorly on Tinubu’s political influence, especially after declaring a state of emergency in Rivers State ostensibly to stabilize the region.

He questioned the effectiveness of Tinubu’s intervention, noting that despite the state of emergency, impeachment proceedings are advancing, suggesting that former Governor Nyesom Wike currently holds more political leverage in the conflict.

Oseni also raised points about the role of the Chief Judge, potential court orders, and whether Wike might align with the opposition if tensions escalate.

The comments highlight ongoing tensions within the APC and the complex political dynamics in Rivers State.
