Three Nigerians Arrested in India Over Alleged Drug Trafficking

Three Nigerian nationals have been arrested by law enforcement authorities in India over their alleged involvement in drug trafficking activities.

CDA News Nigeria reports that the suspects were apprehended during a police operation targeting an alleged narcotics distribution network. Authorities said investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the suspects’ activities and whether other individuals are connected to the case.

CDA News Nigeria gathered that officers recovered suspected illicit substances and other items believed to be linked to the alleged drug trafficking operation. The seized materials have been sent for forensic examination as part of the investigation.

According to Indian police, the suspects are currently in custody and are expected to face charges under the country’s narcotics laws if the allegations are substantiated. Authorities also disclosed that further efforts are underway to dismantle the wider network believed to be involved in the illegal trade.

The arrests highlight the continued efforts by Indian security agencies to combat drug trafficking and other transnational crimes. Officials reiterated their commitment to strengthening enforcement measures against criminal syndicates operating within the country.
