Nigerian troops have raided a suspected bandit hideout in the Mangu local government area of Plateau State, recovering a significant cache of arms and ammunition.
During the operation, security forces seized multiple weapons, including AK-47 rifles and locally fabricated firearms. A large quantity of ammunition and other military-grade equipment was also recovered.
However, a key suspect believed to be linked to the hideout managed to escape during the raid. A manhunt is currently underway to apprehend the fleeing individual.
The successful operation is part of ongoing efforts by the military to dismantle criminal networks and restore security in the troubled region.
