WASHINGTON – The interim President of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, is scheduled to visit the United States next week, the State Department confirmed on Tuesday.
The visit, described as a diplomatic engagement, will include meetings with senior U.S. officials and discussions on bilateral cooperation, humanitarian aid, and the ongoing political situation in Venezuela.
Guaidó, recognized by the U.S. and several other nations as Venezuela’s legitimate leader, has continued to advocate for democratic restoration amid the enduring political and economic crisis under the administration of Nicolás Maduro.
Political analysts view the visit as a reaffirmation of U.S. support for Guaidó’s interim government as Venezuela prepares for upcoming electoral processes.
