In a recent television interview, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) asserted that Atiku Abubakar had no other option but to leave the PDP. Wike insisted that Atiku’s move to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) was predictable.

“Atiku has no choice but to go,” Wike said during the programme. “Someone who wanted to use the PDP, knowing that I am there, he cannot get that platform. These are people who destroyed the party.”

Wike also took aim at his critics, pointing out the irony of their defections to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). He noted that those who accused him of working for the APC have now joined the party themselves, while he remains in the PDP.

When questioned if he was pleased his critics had left, Wike replied simply, “They have never been committed.”
