Dr. Kalu Chukwuemeka Israel has joined the global community in marking Father’s Day 2026, using the occasion to felicitate with fathers across Ikwuano Local Government Area and Abia State at large.
In a goodwill message issued to mark the celebration, observed on the third Sunday of June, Dr. Israel commended fathers for their sacrifices in raising children, sustaining families, and contributing to the peace and development of their communities.
He described fatherhood as a sacred responsibility that goes beyond providing materially, stressing that fathers also serve as moral compasses, mentors, and pillars of stability for their households and, by extension, the larger society.
The community advocate, an indigene of Ikwuano, called on fathers across Abia State to continue prioritising the education, welfare, and character formation of their children, noting that strong families remain the foundation of a strong society.
He also used the opportunity to appeal for unity, peace, and continued support for initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of families in Ikwuano and across Abia State, urging well-meaning sons and daughters of the area to support one another in the spirit of communal progress.
Dr. Israel rounded off his message with well wishes to all fathers, grandfathers, and father figures in Ikwuano, Abia State, and beyond, describing the day as a fitting reminder to honour the men whose quiet labour shapes families and communities alike.
