ILORIN – A former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) local government chairmanship candidate, Musbau Esinrogunjo, was on Wednesday arraigned at the Kwara State High Court for the alleged rape of a 15-year-old girl.
The Kwara State government charged Esinrogunjo with one count of unlawful sexual intercourse with the minor, identified as Aishat Kamardeen.
During the arraignment, the court read the charge but deferred the defendant’s plea. The presiding judge, Justice Funso Dada Lawal, adjourned the case until November 13, 2025, for further hearing.
The defendant is also facing a separate trial for allegedly assaulting a traffic warden.
