NASARAWA LP CHAIRMAN REJECTS SUSPENSION RUMOURS

LAFIA, NIGERIA – The Chairman of the Labour Party (LP) in Nasarawa State has dismissed as false rumours circulating about his alleged suspension from the party, insisting that he remains the duly elected leader of the party in the state.

In a statement issued in Lafia on Monday, the chairman described the claims as the handiwork of mischief-makers seeking to destabilize the party ahead of upcoming political activities. He called on party members and supporters to ignore the speculation, reaffirming his commitment to the party’s growth in the state.

“There is no truth whatsoever to the rumours of my suspension. I remain the authentic chairman of the Labour Party in Nasarawa State, and no individual or group has the authority to remove me outside the party’s constitutional provisions,” he declared.

The rumours had surfaced following internal disagreements among some party stakeholders in the state. However, the chairman maintained that the Labour Party remains united under his leadership and focused on delivering good governance in partnership with the state government.

Party loyalists have rallied behind the chairman, urging members to disregard distractions and remain focused on the party’s objectives. The Labour Party’s national leadership is yet to comment on the situation.
