Umuahia, Abia State – Prince Clinton Uba, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of News Mirror, has officially resigned from the Online Media Practitioners of Nigeria (OMPAN), Abia State chapter.
In a formal letter dated April 2, 2026, and addressed to the state chairman of OMPAN, Uba announced his decision to step down from the association. He expressed appreciation for the cordial relationship and spirit of comradeship he enjoyed during his time with the organization.
“Let me thank you all for the cordial relationship and the spirit of comradeship that existed in the organization over the years and wish the association well,” he stated in the letter.
Despite his resignation, Uba noted that he would continue to maintain personal relationships with members of the association, describing them as “good friends and reliable colleagues.”
Prince Uba is widely known in media circles as the Publisher of News Mirror, an online news platform, and has been actively involved in digital journalism and media development in Abia State. His exit from OMPAN is expected to generate reactions within the local media community, given his contributions and engagement over the years.
As of the time of filing this report, the leadership of OMPAN Abia State chapter has not issued an official response regarding his resignation.
