Senator Akobundu Urges Unity, Tolerance in Nigeria

As Muslims across the country celebrate Eid-el-Fitri, the Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District, Senator Austin Akobundu, has called for unity and tolerance among Nigerians.

In his congratulatory message to the Muslim faithful, Senator Akobundu emphasized that the virtues of compassion and love, which are the core lessons of the holy month of Ramadan, are essential for building a virile and prosperous nation. He urged citizens to embrace these values beyond the fasting period.

The Senator noted that the spirit of compassion aligns with his ongoing initiatives in Abia Central, including free medical outreach programs and skills acquisition schemes designed to uplift the wellbeing of his constituents, regardless of their faith.

“Ramadan presents us with another golden opportunity to reflect on its lessons,” Akobundu stated. He concluded by urging Muslims to continue praying for the growth, peace, and development of Nigeria.
