Senator Mao Ohuabunwa has been elected as the new Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT). This appointment follows the recent expulsion of the former chairman, Senator Adolphus Wabara, from the party by the Abia State chapter.
Ohuabunwa, a former Senator who represented Abia North, was officially sworn into the role. In his first statements, he pledged to collaborate with all party organs to rebuild trust and reposition the PDP for future electoral success.
The leadership change is seen as a significant step in the party’s efforts to reorganize and strengthen its internal structure ahead of upcoming elections
