First-term governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have expressed strong support for President Bola Tinubu’s economic reform agenda while calling for intensified efforts to tackle insecurity across the country.
CDA News Nigeria reports that the governors commended the Federal Government’s ongoing economic policies, describing the reforms as necessary steps toward stabilising Nigeria’s economy and promoting long-term national development.
The governors acknowledged that the reforms have presented short-term challenges for many Nigerians. Still, they maintained. Still, they maintained that the policies are designed to deliver sustainable economic growth, improve fiscal stability, and attract investment.
Despite endorsing the administration’s economic direction, the APC governors expressed concern over persistent security challenges in parts of the country, including banditry, kidnapping, and other violent crimes. They urged security agencies to intensify operations to safeguard lives and property.
According to the governors, improving security remains essential for economic recovery, increased agricultural productivity,y and greater investor confidence.
They reaffirmed their commitment to working closely with the Federal Government to implement policies that will enhance economic prosperity and strengthen national security.
CDA News Nigeria gathered that the governors also pledged continued collaboration among states to support President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda while advocating stronger measures to address insecurity nationwide.
